Where do i learn to use kettlebells. You can do so right here at our dojo. We have hour long classes dedicated to kettlebell training only as well as kettlebell classes targeting fighters only. Kettlebell training and Kyokushin are a perfect combination-the hardest most effective Japanese Karate and the hardest roughest most effective type of resistance training. Fedor Emelianenko, Frank Shamrock & Jens Pulver are just a few of the fighters currently using kettlebells to compliment their fighting skills.

A Kettlebell, also called a girya is a traditional Russian cast iron weight. It looks like a basketball with a handle. In Russia, kettlebells are very popular devices used by athletes who seek strength and endurance.

What is the right Kettlebell size for me?

Kettlebells come in 'poods'. A pood is an old Russian measure of weight, which equals 16kg, or roughly 35 lbs. Usually men start with a 35-pounder and women start with an 18-pounder. A strong woman can go for a 26-pounder.
